The State Transformation Commission, Government of Uttar Pradesh is working towards reducing Maternal Mortality in the state through innovation, policy support, and technology-enabled approaches. In the area of maternal health, the Commission is focused on enabling better tracking, timely intervention, and improved service delivery, better coordination to support reduction in maternal mortality.

STC Role in Reducing MMR through App

The proposed initiative seeks to leverage a digital platform to strengthen maternal care delivery through timely and 100% registration, tracking, referral linkage, transport support, birth planning and monitoring. The platform is envisioned as an enabler for better coordination across frontline workers, facilities (both government like Medical colleges, Institutions, District Hospitals, CHCs etc. and private health facilities), and monitoring systems.

Eligibility
Students, startups, developers, academic institutions, research organizations, public health innovators, NGOs, trusts, and companies across the world.
Duration
2 weeks time for registration, followed by live presentation of workflows by candidates.
Solution
A practical digital solution / prototype aligned with the hackathon theme.
Evaluation
Evaluation by a committee of experts.

Cash awards for winners as specified below.
Registration stage
Registrations are currently open. After closure of registration, candidates will be called to Lucknow at a suitable venue depending on the number of participants.The Candidate/team willing to stay at Lucknow for 2 days(48hrs) can stay with the team members(4-5).On third day presentation before the panel of experts will be scheduled. esentations can also be made virtually. A Participant who is participating in an individual capacity cannot be a member of any team or vice-versa.
